Why on earth will City, who win Premierships by without a No. 9, pay £160 million [$222 million] for a 28-year-old striker — who is
A. Injury-prone with dodgy ankles.
B. Is not ageless like Ronaldo/Zlatan/Messi — is clearly slowing down — he will, at max, be at his best for the next 2-3 years — that too is conditional on staying injury-free.
C. Will have zero resale value
D. And City needs someone who knows how to perform in the Biggest Matches — Champions
League Finals — and Harry Kane, as great as he is, he’s been a Major Flop in the Biggest matches — He was invisible in the Champions League final & he was invisible in Euro 2020 final.
These are facts — not conjecture or bias. I love Harry Kane, but I also know I can buy both Bangladesh & Pakistan for £160 million pounds.
