Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Review #madmax #movies #film #review #recommended

movie review

“Furiosa” is surprisingly good for a prequel, surpassing “Mad Max: Fury Road” in both scale and story. Furiosa’s journey to return to paradise is bigger than any previous film in the franchise. It’s a bizarre and chaotic film, where violence is a constant reality and only the truly insane seem to thrive. “Furiosa” is grandiose in every way, with massive war bands competing for water and oil by any means necessary. Chris Hemsworth excels as Dementus, a warlord whose unhesitant use of violence allows him to survive in world he views as already lost. The post-apocalypse depicted here is brutal, and George Miller doesn’t shy away from violence in imaginative and creative sequences. The new territories, from the Bullet Farm to Gas Town, reinvent a wasteland where death is ever-present and only the toughest survive. “Furiosa” is a true epic, traversing a nightmarish depiction of humanity you have to experience to understand.
